Jackie Chartrand Smith

My Story

Jackie is the daughter of NVS Dance owner, Nadine Smith. She trained under her moms studio in tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical and acro. Jackie began competitive dance at age 9, Where she was a member of the national championship group, Tap Dance Kids. After graduation, Jackie attended the University of Memphis, where she was a 4 year member of the Pom squad winning nationals in the year 2000. During her college years, she started choreographing for her home studio and middle school dance and cheer teams in the Memphis area. She has taught master classes in the United States and Canada before securing a permanent job as the competitive director at NVS. She also choreographed for the dance team at Mississippi State University and University of Alabama, Birmingham. Jackie has been teaching and choreographing for NVS since 2002, where her choreography has won a multitude of regional and national titles.
