Darcy McLoughlin

My Story

Originally from Long Island, NY, Darcy McLoughlin began her pre-professional ballet training at Manhattan Youth Ballet in New York City, under the direction of Deborah Wingert, Daniel Ulbricht and Erin Fogarty. There she trained for nine years and as a student, had the opportunity to perform principal roles in George Balanchine’s Serenade, Stars and Stripes, and Western Symphony. Other training includes spending summers training at Pacific Northwest Ballet, Boston Ballet, and with Exploring Ballet with Suzanne Farrell. She then joined BalletMet in 2019 as a trainee where she worked alongside the professional company in many company productions such as The Nutcracker and Edwaard Liang’s Cinderella, Giselle, and ALICE. In 2022, Darcy joined Ballet Memphis’ professional ballet company and has since gotten the opportunity to perform corps and soloist roles with the company. Other professional work includes a company in residence with Earl Mosley’s Diversity of Dance and an apprenticeship with the Chautauqua Institution in 2021.
